Company Visit to Tencent

If you are Chinese, you obviously know of Tencent. It can be compared to an American having heard of Facebook. However, you Americans may not be so familiar with the company, so I posted the Wikipedia blurb below to give you further context. This was the last company visit for my China Studies course. It has been really insightful and worthwhile going on these visits - exposing me to a whole new corporate world I once knew nothing about. Even better, we bring our resumes along on all the visits. You never know how life is going to play out...One thing leads to the next, so you have to keep all doors open and put yourself out there! Next Thursday, one of the big bosses from one of our company visits will be treating my class to a fancy dinner / cocktail party at a 5-star hotel in Shenzhen (he is paying 600 RMB per person, so roughly $100 each for all 25+ students in the class...Hard life I have ;)

On another note, my flight home is booked! WOO WOO! Dates to put on your calendars:

Arrive in NYC: Wednesday, July 15th
Israel: July 19th- July 30th
Back to China: August 24th

Love you all and sending hugs and kisses from Shenzhen Starbucks!
