Hi everyone,
This Wednesday we had a field trip for all the primary school students. We took a bus and went to a huge park about an hour away from our school. The kids had a lot of fun just being kids. We went on a train ride around the park, had a picnic in an open field and played in the playground. The park also had a roller coaster and some other rides that the kids loved. It was fun having a picnic and seeing all the strange foods the parents packed their children...lots of dried fish products, seaweed and beef-flavored everything.
Last night, Wednesday, my friends Jeanne, Martina, Luke, Tim and I all went to the huge Mercedes-Benz Arena to watch the pop star Alicia Keys perform! It was a lot of fun going to see an American singer in Shanghai. The show was packed and we all sang along and waved our glow sticks in the air.
This weekend I will be gone on a girls' Weekend to a city called Hangzhou. The four of us are going to do some touristy things, drink lots of tea, do some shopping and relax in our 5 star hotel :) Looking forward to a girls' weekend away in another fun city! Pictures to come Sunday.
Also, the rumor is true...I met a guy. His name is Kevin and he's a high school teacher here. Details and pictures about that will come at a later time...So, keep checking the blog :)
