Not changing my ways for China :)

That's right, my fridge is fully stocked with my favorites from back home. I can't eat Chinese food every day because I feel too oily, so I have stocked up on the things I usually eat. Breakfast now consists of organic oatmeal and almond milk, lunch is a salad with peppers, tomatoes, hard boiled eggs, cashews, etc and dinner is usually pasta or qinuoa with some veggies and tofu. No need to change my lifestyle just because I am in China! Of course it is fun to explore and try new foods and restaurants on the weekends, but on a daily basis, I am eating the same foods as I would if I were back home.

This week is going to be a long one! We have a 6 day work week (school both last Sunday and this coming Sunday), and I am running my first 10K race this Saturday :) Saturday night we are celebrating my friend Casey's birthday before our Sunday work day...but then, FALL BREAK! I have off from October 1st-October 7th. I was going to go to Hong Kong, but prices are incredibly high due to the holiday. Instead, my friend Jojo and i are going to have a staycation in Shanghai and do all the touristy things possible that we don't have time for otherwise. One of the days, we will be taking a bus to a nearby "water town" to do some exploring. We are also going to have a spa day and we (along with 3 other girls) are renting a hotel room for the night in a nicer part of Shanghai and getting full body spa treatment...why not...we will be on vacay!

Look forward to the upcoming post after my first road race and Casey's birthday!

LOVE YOU ALL. XO
