Good evening!
As part of my China Studies course, Professor Huang took us on another company visit to Shenzhen Wuzhoulong Motors Company this evening. Our agenda included the following:
a.Lobby and laboratories
b.Manufacturing Line
c.Electric Powered Bus Trial Drive
d.Surveillance System
e.Meeting Room Discussion
3.Dinner from 18:50 – 20:30
After our company tour, one of the managers took the entire class out to a fancy Chinese style banquet dinner. As the Class Monitor, I was required to sit in the "guest of honor seat" directly to the left of the big boss (AKA the one paying for everyone else). Translation: I had to toast a glass of wine about every five minutes and repeatedly say "xie xie xie xie xie" as he dumped more food on my plate. Otherwise, I was not giving him proper respect. When in doubt, raise your glass, smile, and say xie xie on repeat. That's all you need to know when out to dinner with a big boss! Below is a bit about the company, taken from their website...
*NOTE: I am editing their website for them and helping them correct all of the English translation errors you will see below...
