Strolling in my neighborhood...The hunt for non-whitening face wash (unsuccessful)

Here is a snapshot of my neighborhood (the community outside the gates of my campus). Bai Se Lu (my street) has tons of little restaurants (AMAZING dumplings - Shanghai is known for their soup dumplings), convenience stores, tea shops, little grocery stores and lots of junk stores with odds and ends. I love it though and it is so fun just strolling around and exploring. My friends and I have been trying different restaurants in our neighborhood everyday (and we have yet to spend more than $3 USD on dinner. (Beauty of living in China). My favorite go-to restaurant so far is this little hole-in-the wall place where you pick out veggies and meat you want and they cook it and make it into a soup. I get lots of veggies, mushrooms and tofu and it is SO delicious!

I will post a lot more pictures of my neighborhood, but here is a preview!
