Welcome back to The Blog everyone!
The bloggie took a little break during the Chinese New Year holiday, but it is now up and running and ready for my fans. As usual, please check The Blog every Sunday for updates and photos capturing my student life in Shenzhen. Don’t fall behind!
After spending 6 weeks in America for the CNY, it is nice to be back in good ol’ China. Of course it was wonderful to see my friends and family, but China is my other home. I missed my international classmates, my passion fruit/lychee/dragon fruit juice, my bike, nearby Pingshan Village…I also missed learning. It has only been one week since I arrived back in Shenzhen, and I am back in full swing. Week one of classes is already complete. No time for jet lag. The work is already piling up, eek!
This semester I am taking four classes: Strategic Management, Marketing Management, Research Methodology and China Studies. Two of my professors are American this module – that’s a change! So far, this semester is a LOT more work than in the past. Strategic Management (American professor) is my hardest class yet. He is a great professor who really makes you think critically and holds you accountable with his high expectations (tons of reading and analyzing cases). If anyone is interested in seeing my syllabi for my courses, shoot me an email.
I am still getting organized with my classes and sorting out all my textbooks and readings, so today’s blog post is just to say a quick “NI HAO”. I added some photos below to keep you all in the loop…keep scrolling down until you reach the “Happy New Year” post.
I miss you all already and am thinking of you every day. Get pumped for next week’s post because my best friends from Shanghai (Jeanne and Martina) are visiting me in Shenzhen and we are doing the “Color Run” together. I am SOOOOOO EXCITED to see them.
XOXO,
Allie
