This weekend, I felt like my energy had been sucked out of me and felt rundown and tired. I eat extremely healthy, sleep at least 7 hours per night and exercise every day, so I didn't know why I was feeling so lethargic.
Fortunately, there is a traditional Chinese medicine shop on my street, so. I thought I would stop in and see if they could put something together for me. The practice of traditional Chinese medicine has been around for more than 2000 years and many Chinese still rely solely on this form of medicine to cure their ailments, so I thought I would give it another go.
When I walked into the shop, a doctor in a white coat greeted me at the door and asked how she could assist me. I told her my symptoms and she led me to several different flowers and dried berries that were suppose to help bring me energy and strength. She told me to soak them in water and drink it like tea. Three cups per day.
It has been one day. I feel better already. It is hard to know if I can attribute my sudden strength to the ground flowers or my quality rest- but I am going to go with the Chinese medicine hehe. Maybe the placebo effect? But hey, it did work!
It is so exciting to browse the shop and check out all the different ground up plants, herbs, fruits, roots, etc. Each container is labeled with what is inside as well as its function and ways it can be consumed or used.
